It's a strange and complecated world you'r abut to get in too... http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
It is almost always cheeper to buy online http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif (Although this depend's on wether you can get someone to accept delivery http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif )
Let us now if you want:
* PayAsYouGo -- Where you pre pay for your calls,
* Or Pay Monthly -- Where you get a bill at the end of the month (Like you'r home phone0
Also If you let me knoew wether you want:
* Camera's
* Color screen's
* Polyphonic Ringtone's
* etc...
And I'll have a look around or you could try:
* The Link, (http://www.thelink.co.uk)
* Car Phone Warehouse, (http://www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk)

Got a new T-Mobile Sidekick II the other day if you plan on doing text messaging or instant messaging along with surfing the web this thing is awesome --3.3 in color screen, standard qwerty keyboard, pda functionality, works for gaming also tetris, galaga, asteroids it even automatically changes pdf files into plain text for you to read. Best phone/PDA that i've had or used and I've had more than a few.

Nokia are always pretty reliable phones, if you do a lot of texting the keypad lay out would drive me nuts.
I'm waiting for the new XDA3 (or M2000 as orange call them) to come out, more of a smartphone man myself although by using a smartphone I can more easily check up on the site which is what I really need.
Have a Motorola v525 as my work mobile which is small enough to take to the pub when I need to http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbup.gif

Also check out e-bay before going to the shops.
You can get some good deals online, make sure it's boxed though http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif

Don't really trust ebay for electrical goods... http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif
i wudnt really go to The Link and Carphone Warehouse before shopping around, sometimes their prices are crazy.
The 7610 is an excellent phone, also check out the 6230 (http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,8764,47665,00.html) by nokia, great phone, i just bought one recently. For freeeeeeeeeeeee
Also, i dont think we can use any 2-ways, in the UK (the one velledriver was talkin about)
And finally, check in your local area which networks have the best coverage, they vary in some places.
hope that helps http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbup.gif
Ps. cant belive you've never had a phone before:P

forgot to mention that if you're in the US and looking for a cell phone provider or new phone then you have to check out http://www.myrateplan.com
you choose whether you want to select by the phone, carrier, plan or feature and then brings up a great flash thing that you can narrow it down by a lot of different critera..its seriously fun to check out even if you arent look for a phone (IMO..and no I don't work for the company :P )
