my bf is a photographer and he does alot of race cars and at the moment im sitting here cropping and editing his photos for sale. cause that is my job. there is like 4000 pics, and it becomes real boring. anyway I was wondering sifting through all these EVO and STI photos wondering

what car do you own? and which car do you wished you owned?

well we own a Alfa Romeo 147 and the car I wished we own was a Dodge Viper.

There is only one here in Perth were I live and I have seen it once, and when every it is on the road, lame ass people drive really slow next to it, so they can have a better look or, they try and race it. so

what car do you own? and which car do you wished you owned?

i'm driving my favorite car:
2000 VW Golf TDI
Turbo Diesel. chipped, slammed, blackened, with a straight pipe exhaust, and a larger european turbo.

...and i STILL get 50 miles per gallon!

[EDIT: Removed hotlinked pic (that didn't even work). No hotlinking!]

not the best pic, but there it is.

the only thing i'd do, if money were no object, is squeeze in the new VW V10 TDI that's coming later this year.

so would I!

actually, the engine swap would be fairly easy. at best it would require modifying the firewall.

the impossible part would be the drive train. we can't even import the 4motion chassis the golf comes with in europe. and if we could, it would require SO much work to make the body shell fit, well... it just wouldn't be worth it.

but, like i said, "if money were no object"...

JDisturbed
06-25-2004, 02:19 AM
Well, you can basically do whatever you can dream of with a car, just costs money. The firewall would definitely have to be pushed back or cut away. As for the drivetrain, best of luck with that http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif lol

I drive a 1997 Toyota Corolla. It's not flashy in any way, but as of 138k miles I have yet to have a mechanical problem.

My ideal car is the old school Hummer. Usefulness of a truck, super roomy, and CONVERTIBLE! Of course, I'd want the optional Avenger missle system.

BMW 330D Sport not sure what car I'd like to go for next although BM have brought out a coupe version of the Diesel which I may look at in the next few months (210 bhp 60 mph in 7 seconds and still 50 mpg - not bad going for a diesel).

Also recently just got a new job which isn't a 100mile round trip to get to so may consider the petrol version but for the difference in economy and performance it probably isn't really worth it http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif

My dream car is the Shelby Cobra. I drove in a kitcar replica of it, with a Rover V8 bigblock in it (it was also available with a Jaguar V12 engine, but not in stock - damn!), man, that car rocked!

But it's an open car, so it would only be good as a second car, and I can hardly afford this one... http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif. The new Ford GT40 would be a better option I think, wow!

But that's a h*ll of a lot of money. The Skyline alone costs a lot of money. A bone stock R-34 runs about $35,000 (correct me if I'm wrong http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif), and then simply to import it into the States, it would be $100,000. I suggest save your money for just a bit longer, and build up for a Saleen S7, or something like that. http://celebswap.com/pics/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbup.gif
